Classes
On a weekly basis we offer an array of programs that fit the needs of the youth in all phases of their lives.
Studio Weekly Classes are offered in the following areas:
- Pre Dance/Tap (ages 3-6yrs)
- Ballet
- African and Caribbean Dance
- Jazz and Caribbean
- Modern
- Hip/Hop/Break Dance
- African Drum and Percussion

Programs
I. After School Program
Offers an opportunity for young people to be exposed to the discipline of dance, sports, videography, academic tutoring on a regular basis. This program is designed to provide a channel through which children can grow and develop socially, emotionally and culturally. This program has a track record of improving academic achievement as well as artistic development.

II. Community Outreach and School Programs
Performances (highlighted as a link to the Performance page) and Lecture Demonstrations are offered on African culture through dance, drum and song. Workshops are offered at elementary, high schools and universities throughout Central Florida.

IV. OSCD Performing Company Programs
Students trained in traditionally based Central, South and West African dance have the opportunity to perform at events locally, statewide and nationwide. Performing opportunities are available for students ages 6 - 16. The troupe rehearses weekly and performs and average of 45 times per year. Performances are choreographed and directed by the Artistic Director. Annual auditions are generally held in the months of March and September.
V. Cultural Journey Program
Frequent travel tours will take participants to various master workshops, festivals and performances. We also host master teachers and workshops to gain insight into a living culture. Our mission is to take a trip to Africa and the Caribbean on an annual basis.
VI. Cultural Dance Extravaganza Program
An annual event featuring the Orlando School of Cultural Dance as well as renowned performers from both the US and Africa exhibiting both traditional and contemporary dance and music styles.
